September: 10k Steps A Day, Everyday!

That’s my goal for September – 10,000 steps a day, everyday! It is going to be hard, especially on the weekends, but I will do my best. There will probably be a few days where I don’t make it, but as long as I try I should get it in most days.

I made it yesterday!

And I am close today.

I am really loving my Omron Pedometer – it is really encouraging to see how many steps you take in a day. And I defiantly find myself putting more effort into making it going higher and higher. Like last night, I really wanted to see if I could hit the 15k mark. I almost went for a walk, but I was just too tired and had a VERY early night in bed. Sometimes sleep is just more important!

150 by XMAS

I was just re-reading the first post I ever made in this blog. August 22 2007. In that post I said I wanted to be 150 by Christmas. Since then two Christmases have past and well… I actually weight 13 pounds more then I did when I wrote that post. Sad. Really sad.

Anyway.

150 pounds by Christmas 2009. I can totally do it this time.

This morning my scale said 182.4. 32 pounds in 7 months – totally doable.

Weekly Goal: Water

My water intake has been weak so my goal this week is to drink lots of water! No specific amount, just as much as I can!

I haven’t really been losing and I am wondering if that has to due with my lack of water.

I swear that water is a huge key to successful weight loss and that the more you drink the more you lose. When I was doing really well before I was drinking 6 or more liters a day! I don’t expect to drink that much again but even 4 would be nice.

3 Goals for 2008!

First goal:
Lose weight – pretty obvious

Second goal:
Exercise for a total of 10,000 minutes

Third goal:
Do 700 miles of Walk Away the Pounds (WATP) videos

So far I am doing pretty good!
– I have lost a little over a pound
– Exercised for a total of 700 minutes
– 28 WATP miles done

Christmas is coming… fast!

I really wanted to be 150 for Chirstmas, but that is not going to happen. So lets cross that goal off the list.

Christmas goal: 150 pounds

Done. So Christmas is 20 days away. The scale is up around 165 pounds (ouch!) – what am I going to do? Well I am going to make a new goal.

New Chirstmas goal: 160 pounds

I know 5 pounds in 20 days seems impossible but I am hoping some of those 5 pounds is water weight. It is not even so much that I want to lose weight right now I just do not want to gain. Christmas is my favourtie time of year and with Christmas comes lots of my favourtie foods – so my real goal is portion control and to start the new year off at no more then 165 pounds.

But come the new year, it is back to losing weight!

Valentine’s Day goal: 155 pounds
