Calories in Red Robin Menu – Nutritional Information

I know I posted about this before but I decided to post the Red Robin menu in it’s entirety. Like I posted before the Nutritional Information as provided on the Red Robin Website (http://www.redrobin.com/home/customizer.aspx) is an ABSOLUTE PAIN IN THE ASS. It is the WORST system (in terms of Nutritional Information) I have ever seen… though I suppose it is better than nothing. You can only view ONE item at a time – you can add a side to it, like fries and it will give you how many calories the total is but there is NO WAY to see JUST the calories for the first – you need to do some math. On top of that you need to keep your mouse on the information to see – if you move your mouse (to say use the calculator) the information disappears. If you frequent Red Robin I HIGHLY suggest you book mark this post.

  1. Hi there…

Thank you sooooooooo much for doing this. I love the Red Robin, but hate their online “customizer.” I have to beg the question that if you can do this; why can’t they? Shame on them! This is INCREDIBLY helpful. I recently lost over 100 pounds doing nothing but counting my calories, so I rely heavily on nutritional info off of websites, which is frusterating when the site is like the Red Robins.

Oh, and on a side note to Jet (the other commenter), please don’t give up foods you love (that’s a sure fire way to give up on a diet). I eat fast food like crazy, ice cream, I still HATE veggies and I probably don’t drink enough water; but I continue to lose because I never eat over 1300 cals a day. (It took me a year, but I went from 300 lbs to 192 lbs. I’m 5’6″).

    Thanks again for the post!!

  2. Actually I adore RedRobin but after having eaten there and yet again been unable to even remotely finish a burger I emailed them and asked if they were considering selling their burgers in smaller sizes and explained why. If enough folks do this perhaps they will consider it. After all, portion control is in the news and halving their portions might save them money.

  3. Just had their SW Chicken Salad, Really really tasty, but after dinner I found this site while trying to find the nutritional value of my salad; (1) Thank you, Thank you and again; Thank you (2) Can you find the values of my salad? (3) Did I say Thank you?

  4. Hello, I work at Red Robin, and I agree, their portions are HUGE! But, since I’ve been there a while, I know a few tricks on how to each the things you love there and cut a ton of the fat.
1.)First of all, you can get any of the beef burgers a ‘petite’ size, which is much much smaller. Also, you can sub veggie, boca, turkey or chicken for anything as well-some places may charge for the chicken.
2.) You can also get a half salad, which I strongly suggest unless you plan on taking some home. Those salads are huge! And on the menu it says you can get a soup/cobb, but you can really sub any of the salads, which comes with a bowl of soup and half a salad. This is for when you’re really hungry or plan on taking some home! I suggest the Apple Harvest Chicken Salad or the Oriental Chicken Salad- both are delicious! I like the Cho-Cho dressing the best, it comes on the oriental salad, and I think it may also be the only ‘real’ fat free dressing there. Get the chicken tortilla soup with NO TOPPING. The cheese, sour cream and tortillas strips add a ton of fat.
3.) The salads and wraps are both still VERY FATTENING, with the Apple Harvest Salad and Oriental being the only exceptions. Its amazing how many customers I have tell me their on a diet, and get the BBQ Wrap! Get the Cho-Cho instead for dressing, or get in on the side instead of pouring it on your salad, and get the tortilla strips and cheese taken off.
4.) Get your burger w/out mayo or cheese, and get no bun or sub a wheat bun.
5.) Instead of fries get a free salad, or fruit. The kids menu has sides of cantelope, carrots, broccoli, and apple slices that aren’t on the adult menu.

Thats all I can think of for now, but I hope this helps some of you out there!

@Tammi:I’m not sure about the SW Salad because it was just a ‘promotion’, so it was there for a limited time. But its very similar to the Fajita Salad, except I know its got way more calories because of the avocado and fried jalaps.

  5. I just got home from Red Robin and hopped online to check out the nutriotional value of the salad I got. I am FLOORED that the Apple Chicken Harvest Salad has close to 900 calories with dressing! I am on WW and ate almost 1/2 my daily points in that one meal!! Needless to say… my husband will have to pick a differnt place next time. :) Whew….lol.

Thanks for doing this! Awesome and quick. :)

  6. Thanks, Autumn for the inside scoop. I will definately be ordering a 1/2 salad during my next visit to Red Robin! In addition, I always ask for my dressing on the side to put the control (of how much I use) in my hands. I’ve found that no matter what restaurant I choose, I can always find something to eat if I make wise choices and am not shy about asking for special accomodations to the menu.

  7. I applaud your effort. I’m watching my grandson’s carbs due to a Diabetes threat. Used ur info to allow him go to Red Robin for dinner with his Mom. Red Robin now has a full nutritional guide at all tables and they allowed Mom to bring one home. Your counts are off on soups (Clam Chowder specifically) but it did allow him to know he could choose, and orde,r a mini burger to get the Clam Chowder he wanted. He also asked for the veggies as opposed to the fries! Thank you. Paula

  8. I didn’t compare anything else. I wasn’t going to say anything else but the website kept telling me to fill in information. Evidently, the site says I submitted my info twice although, each time I tried, my submissions were different! Go, figure…..

  9. If you order a burger, an easy way to keep track of your portion is to eat only half, up to the edge of the paper wrapper. Then get a box and enjoy the rest later.

  10. Wow. I’ve eaten here once. And I’m glad I didnt go a second time…. yet. I had the gourmet cheeseburger and ate like 2/3s of it and ate a few fries and gave the rest of my fries to others. The calorie for the gourmet cheeseburger is reasonabl because of the size.

  11. This is helpful. Unfortunately most restaurants have food high in fat & calories. Someone else picked this and it’s helpful to make a plan ahead of time ~ so thank you for having this.

  12. I eat here often with my 2 year old becase their kids menu includes a griled chicken option, as well as great sides like broccolli and mandarin oranges. I personally am a vegetarian, and order the “Keep it Simple” burger on a whole grain bun with a BOCA patty and a side salad or broccolli as the side. More sodium and stuff than cooking at home, bt that’s kind of to be expected when dining out.

  13. Thank you!! I went to RR for dinner and had a wrap thinking I was sparing calories over the burger!! I can’t believe I could have had a burger for less!! Thank you for your time and effort in this!! If anyone is interested in knowing more about a dietary supplement that works amazing, email me at aporfily@google.com for more info. I have lost 28lbs. In 8 weeks.

  14. Thanks for the info! I tried to look this information on the Red Robin site it was really useless. What would be the motive for not making this nutritional information accessible. I really appreciate you asking time out to provide us with this info. Thanks
